Academic Paper Copyright Transfer Agreement

Journal Submitted To (hereinafter referred to as the "Journal"): "Fisheries Modernization"
The authors (copyright holders) of the above manuscript consent to its publication in the Journal of Fishery Modernization and hereby voluntarily transfer the copyright of the manuscript to the editorial office of the Journal of Fishery Modernization on a worldwide basis upon acceptance for publication. The following terms are expressly agreed:
1. The authors warrant that the manuscript is original, does not contain classified information, and has not been submitted elsewhere. Should any infringement or breach of confidentiality occur, the authors assume full responsibility.
2. All listed authors irrevocably transfer to the editorial office of the Journal of Fishery Modernization, on a worldwide basis, the entire copyright in the manuscript—including, without limitation, the rights of compilation (in whole or in part), reproduction in print and electronic forms, dissemination via information networks, translation, and distribution.
3. The authors agree to the Journal’s open-access policy, which permits users to copy and distribute the article under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). Both the authors and third parties may use the manuscript under the same CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 terms.
4. The authors guarantee that authorship is undisputed. Any disputes arising from authorship claims shall be the sole responsibility of the authors.
5. The rights transferred under Clause 2 may not be exploited by the authors or licensed to others in any form, except that the authors may subsequently quote or translate limited portions of the manuscript in their later works or include it in non-journal collections.
6. The Journal will make a one-time payment to the authors as remuneration (including the copyright transfer fee).
7. Any dispute arising from the performance of this agreement shall first be resolved through negotiation; failing that, either party may bring suit in the competent court at the location of the editorial office.
8. This agreement must be signed by all authors and takes effect on the date of the last signature. A scanned copy of the signed agreement shall be uploaded to the submission system or emailed to the editorial office. If the manuscript is ultimately rejected, this agreement automatically becomes null and void.
