Introduction to Fishery Modernization
Fishery Modernization (bimonthly publication) is supervised by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and hosted by the Fisheries Machinery and Instrument Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences. It is publicly distributed both domestically and internationally. First published in 1973 under the original name Fishery Machinery and Instruments, it was renamed Fishery Modernization in 1996. Currently, it is recognized as a Chinese Core Journal, a Chinese Science and Technology Core Journal, and a source journal for the Chinese Science Citation Database (CSCD).
For a long time, the journal has been committed to building a top-notch academic exchange platform for fishery equipment and engineering. It supports technological R&D, promotes achievements, and drives industrial upgrades in related fields, documenting and witnessing China's continuous progress toward fishery modernization.
The journal features columns such as Reviews and Special Topics, Aquaculture Engineering, Fishing Vessels and Capture, Aquatic Product Processing, and Fishery Informatization. It primarily publishes original research papers and reviews on equipment and engineering in areas such as recirculating aquaculture systems, pond ecological farming, offshore aquaculture, fishing vessels and capture, aquatic product distribution and processing, and fishery informatization.
