Fisheries Modernization Journal Principles

I. Plagiarism Screening Policy

Fisheries Modernization (under the administration of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and sponsored by the Fishery Machinery and Instrument Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences) is committed to upholding academic integrity and quality. To ensure originality, all submitted manuscripts are screened using the CNKI Academic Misconduct Literature Check System (http://check.cnki.net/amlc2/). This system detects academic misconduct, including but not limited to:

Plagiarism (copying text, ideas, or data without attribution)

Data Fabrication/Falsification

Inappropriate Authorship (e.g., gift authorship, ghost authorship)

Duplicate Submission/Publication

II. Open Access Policy

Fisheries Modernization is an open-access journal. All published articles are permanently and freely available on the journal’s official website (https://fm.fmiri.ac.cn/CN/home). Users may:

Read, download, copy, distribute, print, or search articles without requiring permission from authors or the publisher.

Access content immediately upon publication with no registration barriers or fees.

III. Conflict of Interest Policy

Authors must disclose all potential conflicts of interest, including:

Financial Support: Direct or indirect funding from third parties (other than their affiliated institutions) that supported the research.

Commercial Relationships: Any financial or non-financial interests (e.g., consulting roles, equity ownership) in organizations related to the research field.

IV. Creative Commons Licensing Policy

Fisheries Modernization adopts the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). Under this license:

Attribution (BY): Users must credit the original author(s) and source.

Non-Commercial Use (NC): The work may not be used for commercial purposes.

No Derivatives (ND): Modified versions of the work (e.g., remixes, translations) may not be distributed.

Author Rights: Authors retain the right to share and reuse their articles under CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 terms.
