Fisheries Modernization Manuscript Processing Workflow
1.
Registration and Submission
Authors must register and submit manuscripts through the official website
of Fisheries Modernization: https://fm.fmiri.ac.cn/CN/home.
· If the website is inaccessible, check the URL, try a different browser, or contact the editorial office.
2.
Initial Review
The editorial office conducts a preliminary review of submitted manuscripts and
notifies authors of the initial decision.
3.
External Review
Manuscripts passing the initial review are sent to external experts. Authors
will receive feedback within 2–8 weeks.
4.
Revision Request
If revisions are required, authors must:
· Address all reviewer comments and submit a detailed revision report.

Resubmit the revised manuscript for potential re-review.
Manuscripts failing to meet standards will be rejected.
5.
Acceptance
Manuscripts approved through the three rounds of review (三审) will
receive an acceptance notice.
6.
Payment of Publication Fee
Upon receiving the acceptance email:
· Transfer the article processing charge (APC) within the specified timeframe.
· Reply to the email with payment details: transfer date, payer name, invoice recipient, and bank account information for royalties.

7. CNKI
Online Publication
Accepted manuscripts undergo final editing. Authors must:
· Review and confirm the edited version.
· Return the finalized manuscript to the editorial office for online publication on CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure).
· Print publication dates are determined by submission order. To request expedited print publication, contact: (021) 65978533 or fm@fmiri.com.
8.
Proofreading
Before print publication, authors must complete three rounds of
proofreading and promptly return corrections.
9. Royalties and Complimentary Copies
· Authors receive royalties and 2 complimentary print copies of the issue.
· Request additional copies by notifying the editorial office in advance.
· "三审": Translated as "three rounds of review" to align with China’s academic publishing standards.
· CNKI: Retained as an internationally recognized abbreviation for China National Knowledge Infrastructure.
· APC: Specified as "article processing charge" for clarity.
· Contact Information: Preserved in original format (phone numbers, email) for direct usability.
