Fish pumps are important mechanized equipment for catching and transporting fish. Current fish pump study focuses on preventing fish from injury and improving fish survival rate. Fish bodies are likely to be cut by the inlet edges of the impeller blades when the fish passes through double-blade fish pumps. The impeller of the double-channel impeller fish pump is composed of two space channels, which enables the media to have strong passage capacity and good non-clogging performance, so the impeller will not injure fish bodies. It proves that the double-channel impeller fish pump is an ideal substitute type for the double-blade impeller fish pump, thus has been widely used in industry, but so far which has not been applied in fisheries. This paper introduces the hydraulic design method of the impeller and the volute of the double-channel impeller fish pump, and expounds with an example in details the process of three-dimensional modeling of the double-channel impeller fish pump based by SolidWorks. The research shows that it is feasible to use SolidWorks for three-dimensional modeling of double-channel impeller fish pumps, which is of important significance for carrying out further intensive research on double-channel impeller fish pumps and promoting the application of double-channel impeller pumps in deep sea cage aquaculture and offshore fisheries.
