The effects of body weight (137.2±6.7)g, (194.3±9.7)g, (327.5±19.4)g and (549.7±21.9)g, temperature15℃, 20℃, 25℃ and 30℃, and pH 6.0, 7.0, 8.0 and 9.0, on respiratory rate were studied in this paper, with tench Tinca tinca samples of (123.8-578.8)g body weight and (21.54-34.37)cm body length, to expounding the relationship between respiratory behavior and environmental conditions. Respiratory rate was calculated according to the number of breaths per 1 min of the gill cover. The results showed that The respiratory rate decreased with the body weight increasing, and raised with the temperature increasing. The higher the temperature, the faster the breathing is. At 30℃, respiratory rate of the juvenile fish was (137.12±3.13) times/min,at 15℃, respiratory rate of the juvenile fish was (66.52±6.74) times/min. At the beginning the respiratory rate increased then decreased with pH increasing, the respiratory rate was lowest at pH7.0, it was (90.20±3.78) times/min.The conclution showed that the respiratory rate was affected by temperature、pH and body weight.
