As to high energy loss and short battery life of wireless water quality monitoring system for aquaculture, energy-saving water quality monitoring system based on Zigbee and GPRS has been designed. Low power device is used to install gating chip ADG1414 between the power source and the sensor/signal processing circuit to control time-sharing and partitioned operation of each module, and reduce the power supply time of each module to reduce energy consumption of the hardware; a threshold is set to judge the collected data, and data within the range of threshold will not be sent, so that less data is sent and energy consumed by sending system data is reduced. Wireless sensor network centered on CC2530 is built to transmit the temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen and other water quality parameters collected by the sensor to the monitoring center, and real-time monitoring platform is built, based on which data management system is established to realize real-time monitoring of water quality environment for aquaculture. The results of system test and experiment show that the system can save energy effectively and extend the operation time of the battery for wireless water quality monitoring system effectively.
