Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the nutritional quality of muscle and the level of health of Scortum barcoo under in-pond raceway aquaculture systems, and to provide a reference for the regulation of muscle nutritional quality and healthy aquaculture of Scortum barcoo by in-pond raceway aquaculture systems, so as to promote the development of Scortum barcoo industry. The growth indexes, muscle nutrients and serum biochemical parameters of Scortum barcoo under in-pond raceway aquaculture systems were measured by physiological and biochemical methods, and the comparison was made with Scortum barcoo under common pond culture. The results showed that the Scortum barcoo under in-pond raceway aquaculture systems grew faster, the specific growth rate (1.44%/d) and survival rate (90%) were higher and the feed conversion(1.2) was lower. The muscle crude protein, water and ash content of Scortum barcoo under in-pond raceway aquaculture systems increased significantly (P<0.05), and the content of crude fat decreased significantly (P<0.05). The activities of ALT and AST in serum were decreased significantly (P<0.05) and the content of serum complement C was increased significantly (P<0.05). The results showed that in-pond raceway aquaculture systems were helpful to improve the quality and health of Scortum barcoo.
