Analysis and research on strength of supporting structure of anchor mooring of beam trawler

Abstract

With an offshore beam trawler taken as the research object, according to Code for Classification of Steel Sea Vessels of CCS, the finite element models of supporting structure of anchor mooring of bow and midship were established by MSC.PATRAN, the strength of supporting structure of anchor mooring was calculated directly according to the actual anchor mooring and operation conditions of fishing vessels. For midship model, the influence of different mooring angles on the strength of hull supporting structure and the structural strength under fishing load were analyzed. The mooring load was loaded into the bow model at the most dangerous angle for strength checking, and the stress and deformation of the model under different working conditions were analyzed. Result shows that: the strength of supporting structure of anchor mooring meets the requirements of specifications under various working conditions, the maximum normal stress was found under mooring condition and the minimum was found under fishing auxiliary condition. The structural stress reached its maximum when the angle between the mooring rope and the mid-longitudinal section was 90 degrees and the angle between the mooring rope and the horizontal plane was 0 degree, and this situation should be avoided as far as possible to improve the service life of bollard and its supporting structure. This paper could be used as a reference for the design of beam trawler and its mooring operation.
