China's aquatic products processing is still mainly labor intensive, where the degree of mechanization and automation is not high, and popularizing rate is low. By using advanced processing equipment to replace manual labor, processing efficiency can be increased, stability and labor environment can be improved, and labor intensity can be reduced, which has become a urgent issue that needs to be thought and resolved as soon as possible in the aquatic products processing industry. In the paper, the significance of developing processing equipment was expound, the research and application status of aquatic products processing equipment at home and abroad were analyzed，the levels of aquatic products processing equipment at home and abroad was contrasted, the development trend of aquatic products processing equipment was prospected, with a view to provide a reference and direction for processing equipment developing.
