In view that the current traditional drying process operated by manual labor is inefficient and may cause pollution and other issues, in this paper, the automatic machine for drying scallop was designed and the wet scallops were dried in a step-wise drying production line after being classified. This drying production line was time-sharing and efficient. The machine had a shutter on its upper surface to ensure that the drying operation was not polluted and weatherproof. The whole machine uses stm32 microcontroller, sensors and other technologies, thus achieving automation operations. If monitoring any failure on the production line or the emergence of accumulation in any scallop, the machine control system will immediately stop working to check the failure, thereby reducing the loss. The experiment showed that the drying process by machine would not cause loss of nutrients in scallops and the drying rate of the dry base of the sea pillars is 30%(which will only take 12 hours). The drying process by machine for scallops can save a lot of drying time, improve drying efficiency and avoid the secondary pollutions and losses caused by drying process by manual labor. This study provides a technical reference for the development of automatic drying machine.
