Sticky feed with high viscosity is needed in net cage culture, acclimation of juvenile fish etc.. Artificial feeding process of this kind of feed requires high labor intensity, thus suitable feeding equipment is urgently needed to meet the practical production requirement. Based on the transporting distance and feeding quantity indexes, an overall scheme using diesel as the power source has been designed. The volumetric G-type single screw pump was taken as the core of the system, key parts including pump, power source, transmission system and pipe were selected and designed for matching, and the control indexes of the pump in terms of flow rate, power and propulsion were verified. Based on the selected portion, accessory parts such as feed providing funnel and connecting part were designed, and the overall structure was manufactured and tested. The field test results show the equipment can transport the sticky feed within a distance of 100m, covering a 50 mх50 m area and with a maximum transporting rate of 12 840 kg/h, which can meet the practical requirement. The cost of the system is 7 500 RMB Yuan and it can be flexibly laid out according to the actual needs without outer electricity supply, suitable for group distribution of aquaculture practices under wild environment such as net cage culture.
