Comparative experiments were conducted in this paper to study the different factory culture modes for Trachidermus fasciatus. Taking survival rate (SR) and weight gain rate (WGR) as indicators, the paper compared the effects on Trachidermus fasciatus growth of two kinds of water treatment methods, i.e., gradually diluted seawater and pure freshwater, as well as two kinds of shelters, i.e., tile and PVC tube, in order to find out the optimal conditions for the factory culture of the fish. The results showed that, different water treatment methods exerted different effects on the target fish growth: the SR ranged from 37% to 71%, with the SR value of the gradually diluted seawater group significantly higher than that of the pure freshwater group (P>0.05), and the WGR ranged from 1.83% to 6.12%, with that of the gradually diluted seawater group also significantly higher than that of the other group (P>0.05); while with the different shelters in culture experiments, the growth of the target fish didn’t exhibit significant differences. The research shows that, the culture mode using gradually diluted seawater is more suitable for the factory culture of Trachidermus fasciatus.
