In order to reduce the labor intensity of farmers and reduce losses during feed delivery, a device is designed to use intermittent cyclic rotation of the rotor drum, so that the three chambers distributed at 120° can each perform the functions of feed loading, feed discharge, and chamber drainage, and the feed is mixed into the water and conveyed by hydrodynamic force. Firstly, the important parts of the feeding device were designed for structural optimization, and then by controlling the time interval and rotation time of the intermittent rotation of the rotor drum, the test of feeding mixing rate and feeding loss rate was carried out. The results show that the maximum mixing rate of the feeding device is 962.4kg/h, and the feeding loss rate is lower than 2.3% under the feeding conveying distance of 20m, of which the feed dissolution rate is lower than 1.3% and the feeding breakage rate is lower than 1%. The feed dissolution rate accounts for a larger proportion of the feed loss rate. And compared with the pneumatic conveying device with similar test conditions, the hydraulic conveying device has higher feed mixing rate, i.e., feeding rate, and smaller feeding loss rate.
