A salvage and recovery system is composed of flexible net and salvage vessel. The interaction among flexible net, floating Body, and salvage vessel under high sea conditions is a complex flexible and rigid coupled response motion. This paper takes the system as the research object, and analyses motion response through numerical simulation method for improving the recovery rate under high sea conditions. The focus was on discussing the influence of the mutual position between the floating body and the salvage vessel, as well as the force of the floating body on the salvage net under the reasonable position. The results show that there is a reasonable distance between the salvage vessel and the floating body that is conducive to the salvage and recovery operation; At this distance, the net force is within an acceptable range; the force on the net is positively correlated with the wave amplitude, the higher the wave amplitude, the greater the force on the net, and the extreme force on the net occurs within the wave period where the maximum wave amplitude is located. The results can provide a certain reference for the salvage process and salvage net design under high sea conditions.
